About Us
the brand is new, the hands are not
The Brand Is New. The Hands Running It Are Not.
Fair question to ask of any new vendor: is this a real business, or someone who just bought a cart? Here is the honest answer.
The honest answer
The Boba Bar Experience is a new brand. We will not pretend otherwise. But the operation behind it is not new at all. Don Branzuela has 25 years of mobile beverage experience in Dallas–Fort Worth, and that experience runs every event we book.
The Boba Bar Experience is a Pop Up Concessions brand. Pop Up Concessions also runs Boo Boo's Lemonade, serving fresh-squeezed lemonade at weddings, corporate events and private parties across DFW, and working standing weekend markets at Dallas Farmers Market and Frisco Fresh Market. The two are sibling brands under the same company. Same company, same people, different drink.
What 25 years of mobile beverage actually means
It is not a number on a banner. It is a set of very specific, practical things you only learn by doing the work, and they shape every quote we send.
-
We know what a venue coordinator needs before they ask
Load-in times, floor protection, where the cart can and cannot park, who signs off. Vendor approval is a checklist we have run hundreds of times.
-
We know why the certificate of insurance gets asked for, and we have one ready
A COI is not paperwork theater. It is the venue protecting itself. Ours is ready to send, with your venue named as additional insured when they require it.
-
We know guests do not arrive evenly, and we staff for the surge
At a wedding, most of the guest list walks up within twenty minutes of the ceremony ending. We plan staffing around that surge, not around the average. It is why our quotes show the bobarista math in plain numbers.
-
We know cooked pearls only hold about four hours
So we build your event timeline around the pearls, not the other way around. Cooking happens close to service, and nothing gets served past its window.
-
We have served a line all day at weekend markets
Standing markets are where you learn what throughput actually is. There is no break between rushes, and the line tells you immediately when your process is too slow.
So why boba?
DFW has good boba shops and very few people doing it properly as event catering. Most caterers in the category will not even publish a price. That gap is the reason this brand exists.
How we work
Prices published on the site, in text, with the math shown. No hidden fees. And if we are not the right fit for your event, we will tell you that too, and point you at the better option.
See the prices, then ask us anything
The full pricing model is published, and the quote form takes about a minute.
